Pumpkin Bread 3 1/3 cups flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 2/3 cup shortening 2 2/3 cups sugar 4 eggs 1 (1 lb.) can pumpkin 2/3 cups water 2/3 cup raisins, nuts or dates Sift dry ingredients. Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, pumpkin, water and raisins, nuts or dates. Stir in dry ingredients. Pour into two greased loaf pans, 4 short one-pound coffe cans or 3 tall coffee cans. Fill half full. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until done.
