Peanut Brittle 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup white syrup 1/4 cup water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. butter 1 cup raw peanuts 1 tsp. soda Combine sugar, syrup, water, vanilla and butter. Boil until it threads (soft crack stage). Add peanuts. Cook until golden brown and at hard crack stage. Remove from stove and add soda. Stir. Pour onto back side of cookie sheet which has been buttered. When it starts to cool, pull from outside until it is all pulled off the sheet. The peanut brittle is thin.
